Overview
The proposed facility will be designed to meet wider social and environmental responsibilities, using on-site renewable energy sources to meet net-zero carbon standards. The landscape will be sensitively designed to complement the site’s natural surroundings.
Extra care accommodation
One hundred and forty-five one and two-bedroom apartments, and six bungalows providing units of Extra Care accommodation designed to enable older people with chronic medical issues to live independently.
These facilities would have indoor communal areas, arts and crafts spaces, landscaped courtyards, and on-site café, providing nutritious and affordable hot meals, with a produce shop for on-site grown fruit and vegetables.
Specialist care home
A facility for residents requiring dementia and specialist nursing support, with 72 en-suite rooms, indoor communal areas, garden, dining room and meeting spaces.
Health facilities
Further specialist health facilities: consulting space for NHS services such as dentistry or treatment rooms.
