Bidford Fields
What is Specialist and Extra Care?
Extra Care, or assisted living, is housing that ensures older people can live independently, whilst being able to access support and care. It is available to anyone aged 55 and older.
Extra care accommodation
Oculus’ Extra Care model provides adaptations that allow residents to access adaptive and complex care requirements whilst living independently. Together with an on-site care hub, this ensures support can be provided when it is required to the benefit of the resident.
Specialist care home
The Specialist Care home at Bidford Fields is designed to provide end-of-life nursing care. It will cater for complex dementia and patients requiring specialist nursing support.
The facility will be Care Quality Commission registered and managed by a top tier nursing home operator, selected by Oculus.
Additional health facilities
Bidford Fields will also help extend the capacity of Bidford Health Centre with extra facilities that will provide additional consulting space for NHS services such as dentistry or treatment rooms.
